Bloomberg West TV just announced tonight’s lead story that Margo Georgiadis is leaving the company just one month before the IPO and returning to Google.
Margo joined Groupon earlier this year from her previous role as VP Sales Operations at Google.com
Groupon’s last COO Rob Solomon stepped down in March.
“This is a big shock for the company, the 2nd coo to leave the company in 6 months and just 1 month before the IPO.” reports Bloomberg West TV.
Doug MacMillan “This is someone who is highly regarded at Google, she spent a long time at google, Groupon made a big deal about hiring her and then 5 months later she’s out the door”.
“Groupon were talking about a $25bn valuation in March for this IPO”, Bloomberg Reports.
